I can’t count the Twilight books because I’ve read the series at least 6 times this year. It’s my guilty pleasure. They are really good. Not amazingly written/edited but really good. I will add The Golden Compass to the list. I’ve haven’t seen the book yet but it looked interesting.

I’m sure I will. I’m going to add the link you posted so it’s easy to find the rest of the books.

Hehe, on the page of that link is a fourth book, I’ve got no clue what it is because the story ends after the third book.

Somebody brought it up at last weekend and I had never heard of it. I really loved Pride & Prejudice so it should be interesting to see how I like it with zombies!

Along with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies the author has also produced another book called Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters! Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is on my bedroom floor awaiting its turn to be read!

I’ve heard of that! I wonder if it’s as good. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is hilarious! I’m almost done with it (I keep it in my purse and read when I’m waiting somewhere). I’ll be sure to post a full review when I’m done. If you read Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, let me know how you like it!

Great start – your whole approach to the 101 in 1001 is great! I’m trying to get one together myself and yours is a great inspiration!

I see you have “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon on your list.
I just finished re-reading it – and I bet you’ll be adding the rest of her series to your list!

If I had to suggest just one book it would be “Veronika Decides to Die” by Paulo Coehlo. All of his stuff is very deep (without being extremely long) and this by far is I think something all women in their 20’s should read.

Good luck with all of your goals!

Thanks :) Good luck with making your list! There is a good post on Day Zero List Makers full of tips on how to make a better list.

I’ll add those to my to-read list! Thanks!

Oh, I just read your ‘to-read’ list and it’s marvellous!

I finished Dracula on the weekend. It was a tough read, but a really rewarding one. I’d actually never read a ‘classic’ prior, so I guess maybe it was a bit more of a challenge… the language isn’t hard to understand… but some of the speech patterns are old fashioned, so I found myself re-reading lines a few time to get the meaning :) The pictures he conjures up in the book are incredible–exactly how you’ve seen them in the movies!

1984 and Animal Farm are AMAZING, and Animal Farm is a very quick read. There’s a scene with the horse in it that made me cry. It’s really chilling. 1984 is one of my all-time favourite books.

Oh! And Runemarks by Joanne Harris is FABULOUS–you could read it in one sitting, I think. Apparently there’s a sequel in the works :)

Sorry–I love your posts on all things book related :D

I wish I had enough time/money to read all my books on that list lol

I’m still working on Dracula. I keep getting bored. Well, maybe bored isn’t the right word… more tired of reading it.

I’ve read 1984, but it was back in high school and I don’t remember much of it. How I’ve never read Animal Farm, I don’t know lol.

I’m requesting Runemarks from the library as soon as I finish this reply! Thank you!!
