Aztca Mexican Grill

August 29, 2009

52.   Try 15 new restaurants (7/15) (more info)

I joined my parents and cousins for dinner at Aztca Mexican Grill tonight. It was really good. The restaurant is really cute and the service was nice. It’s my cousins’ favorite Mexican restaurant. They’re supposed to have some of the most authentic Mexican food in Springfield. I got the fajita chicken salad was very pleased. I’ll definitely be taking Shane and Alex to try it :)

I got really hooked on Mexican food in Texas last year. I really miss it as the Mexican food in England is nothing like what I had out there.

I bet it’s better in Texas than it is here too :) I go mostly for the chips and salsa lol.

I have about three different Latino restaurants on my restaurant list. I haven’t gotten a chance to go to them yet, because they’re on the other side of Minneapolis. This makes me want to go!

I don’t think Texas has the market cornered on good Mexican food. There is a healthy population of Mexican-Americans everywhere in the US – there is bound to be good authentic Mexican restaurants in many places, if you just look hard enough. :)

I’m sure that’s true. I’ve just there’s something about TexMex, but that could be something completely different.

I had good Mexican food in Arizona and New Mexico too. The guacamole was best in Texas. The only thing I didn’t like was refried beans.

I also really enjoyed Catfish, you can’t get that anywhere in England.

My parents love this place, but Mrs. Shoo and I had an awful experience with some under-cooked chicken. It was a night we won’t forget.

We love Xochi and the occasional Los Agaves. Cancun in Sherman is always a great time too.

      That sucks!!

We usually go to Xochi. I’ve never been to Cancun in Sherman, but I’ve heard it’s good.
