drop and give me 50
48. Attempt 100 push-up challenge (more info)
What is the 100 push-up challenge? Exactly what it sounds like… a program that conditions you until you’re able do 100 consecutive push-ups. Originally I needed to complete the challenge and do 100 push-ups in order to count this goal as complete. After thinking about it, I decided to set the goal a tad lower at 50 (while still working towards 100). According to the website anyone can do this:
Think there’s no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achive this goal!
No doubt some of you can already do 50 consecutive push ups, but let’s face it, you’re in a big minority. Most of you reading this won’t even be able to manage 20 pushups. Actually, I’m sure many of you can’t even do 10.
However, it really doesn’t matter which group you fall into. If you follow the progressive push ups training program, I’m positive you’ll soon be able to do 100 push ups!
Step 1 is to do the initial test. So how many push-ups could I do? 1. Seriously. So I decided to do alternate push-ups (aka girl push-ups) and I was able to do 7. Which puts me in the second rank. I’m going to go ahead and start week 1 next week and if it’s too hard (or too easy), I’ll retake the test and start over.
I’m pretty sure I can’t even do one push-up, so… good for you!
Well my attempt at a “real” push-up may not count as “1”. I had to switch to girl push-ups lol. I’m hoping I’ll be able to start doing real push-ups after a few weeks :)
I’m starting week 1 on Monday, too! We’re gonna half buff arms!!!
That’s so cool that we’re starting at the same time! Maybe it will help keep me motivated when my arms are giving out :) I’m hoping I’ll be able to do “real” push-ups soon lol.
