Roasted Kale
57. Eat 10 things I’ve never tried before (5/10) (more info)
Alex hosted our Thursday night dinner this week and made roasted kale to go with chicken. It was pretty good and very very good for you. I think I would like it better as part of a pasta dish or mixed in rice maybe? It was super easy to make just wash the kale, spread it out on a baking sheet, sprinkle with olive oil and sea salt and bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes. It should be nice and crispy. I may have to make Alex cook more often :)

EDIT : 06.26.09
Alex posted the full recipe if you want to check it out. You should also take a look at the nutrional goodness in this little gem :)

Is kale like a typical “Southern” food? I’ve also seen it sautéed.
I’m not sure if it’s a Southern food or not, but that sounds right. He also was talking about sautéing it sometime. I bet it would taste similar just not be as crunchy.
Here’s the recipe. Check out the nutrition facts. Kale is RIDICULOUSLY healthy for you!
